UI/Visual Designer

Join us on a mission to transform how business launch ideas online.

About the role

The ideal candidate is a champion of all things visual. You deeply understand the branding process and its relationship with strategy and communications. You will be leading both visual identity and digital interface projects at Zensite, working closely with our team of product strategists, writers, project managers, and content strategists.

You’ll be responsible for creating original, industry-leading creative work, ensuring the brand/UI visuals follow the defined strategy and achieve the visual goals of the project. While the actual needs per client may vary, it all has the same purpose: define what problem they’re solving, find out what makes them different, capture their essence, and communicate that through visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with other designers, developers, project managers, and art directors to deliver design to clients following business requirements;

  • Designing brand-led design for corporate websites, big and small;

  • Designing materials to support clients’ brands: social media posts & covers, presentations, document templates, etc.

  • Designing for Zensite internal marketing purposes

  • Lead branding/UI projects for a variety of clients in the B2B space

  • Create brand identity and UI systems rooted in strategy from the ground up that move our clients’ brands forward

  • Keep a pulse on the latest brand design/UI trends and tools

  • Present and defend your design decisions with expertise and strong strategic rationale directly to powerful client stakeholders

  • Contribute to the betterment and evolution of Zensite culture, processes, and client experiences

  • Drive weekly meetings with clients in the visual portion of the project.

  • Work autonomously, self-structuring your week to ship deliverables on a weekly cadence

Must-haves

  • At least 2 years of commercial experience in a studio or agency;

  • You use Figma to the fullest and know how to use components and styles properly. Figma is the main design tool at Zensite, so its proficiency level must be really good;

  • Hands-on experience working with Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator; These tools are often used in our work for subtle image corrections, vector graphics and animations made for websites or cases.

  • Good understanding of basic UX artefacts (sitemap, wireframes), best practices & standards, and ability to make every design easy to use and coherent;

  • Great knowledge of English; All project documentation and client meetings are held in English.

  • You are aware that no one is unmistakable and constructive feedback from a team and a client is something you know how to work with, providing good results;

  • Detail-driven is a must-have skill, and you make sure the design you deliver is thoroughly examined.

  • Self-sufficiency and responsibility. You can do your research on a common topic before you decide to ask someone.

  • You understand the value of references and can work with them efficiently.

Nice to have

  1. Basic understanding of web principles and how websites work;

  2. Animation/Lottie

The right designer for this role has:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing brand identity and UI systems

  • Comfort & curiosity digging into the ins and outs of our client's companies, industries, and objectives

  • Ability to generate supportive visual language assets for larger brand systems beyond a logo

  • A passion for collaborating with and learning from a team of strategists, writers, project managers, and fellow designers

  • Initiative, seeing what needs to be done and making a plan to do it

  • An active and empathic listen-first mindset

The ideal candidate can demonstrate

  • A track record of successful brand and UI design examples, evidenced by a portfolio (be prepared to discuss your process, not just outcomes)

  • The ability to drive a conversation with clients and their stakeholders. You will be the guide on visual design for your clients; they need to trust that you’re in the driver’s seat.

  • Detail orientation. Include the word "Zensigner" somewhere in your application and earn yourself some bonus points.

  • Soft skills in the way of your humility, hunger, and people smarts
