Urbanmetry is a data company that harvests, cleans, and analyses large amounts of city data from Malaysia, utilizing proprietary algorithms to extract significant trends and patterns in the built environment. In collaboration with Zensite, they've developed a platform powered by artificial intelligence, designed to revolutionize the home-buying process.
This platform not only benefits future homeowners by offering bank-approved detailed home price reports and optimal home loan offers but also serves both public and private sectors in improving city planning and shaping a sustainable urban environment. Together, Urbanmetry and Zensite are leading the way towards an efficient and transparent property market by making sense of cities' data and transforming the way decisions are made.
Urbanmetry’s internal team lacked the necessary skills to convert the conventional way of applying for bank loans to digital.
The challenge was to motivate and change the mindset of future homeowners to apply for loans and make informed decisions digitally rather than physically visiting banks or talking to multiple agents.
Accessing accurate property data forecast was a problem in the past, which made it even harder for future homeowners to buy a home. The conventional way of getting this data was time-consuming and involved a lot of bureaucracy.
We conducted research to find out how people use the site to look for homes and apply for mortgage loans. While looking at the competition, reading journals and case studies and talked to different types of users, such as first-time homebuyers, real estate agents, and bankers. After the interviews, usability tests of different competitors were done to find out what their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities were from the user's perspective.
Based on the research data, we redefined the problem and proposed solutions, along with the visual and art direction of the platform.
We made a platform that is modern, sleek, and easy to use so that future homeowners can use it without any trouble. The platform is designed to allow users to get the best loan offers from multiple banks by only filling in information once. We also took care of security issues, giving users a sense of comfort and safety as they used the platform.
They also added features that allow users to check the real forecast and past data of the property they plan to buy, along with its analysis. Zensite also designed elements to increase user engagement and potential revenue for Urbanmetry.
The collaboration resulted in a platform that revolutionized the home-buying experience.
Urbanmetry received positive feedback from stakeholders and investors, who appreciated the seamless experience for users to get bank-approved detailed home price reports and secure the best home loan offers in just a few clicks.
The design also helped Urbanmetry get recognition from one of the leading banks in Malaysia.
